Please join us Sunday October 29th, 2017 at 3pm at St. Margaret’s Chapel for NOW THANK WE ALL OUR GOD: A CELEBRATION OF FIVE HUNDRED YEARS OF CONTINUING REFORMATION by the Rev. Dr. Carl P . Daw , Jr.

This Hymn Festival celebrates the 500th anniversary of the ongoing Reformation that was sparked when Martin Luther nailed his Ninety-five Theses to the door of the Wittenberg Castle church on October 31, 1517. In addition to Luther’s own hymns, we will sing some metrical psalms that came out of John Calvin’s congregation in Geneva. Then we will see how that Reformed tradition of psalm-singing influenced Anglican worship and led to the recovery of English hymn-singing.
