Here are some comments from visitors to our campus:
“…had a wonderful retreat, left glowing and full of hope for the carrying of God’s message and the future of the church. Thanks again…”
“This is a wonderful place to get away from the busy-ness and noise of everyday life and to refocus on strengthening relationships with God, neighbor and self. This community of Episcopal women religious (of whom three are priests) has a rich history grounded in the Anglican tradition. They warmly welcome guests to worship with the community at any one or all of the five daily worship times—Morning Prayer at 6:00 am, Holy Eucharist at 7:30 am, Noonday Office, Evening Prayer at 5:00 pm, and Compline at 8:00 pm (some of these worship times vary, according to the season). Accommodations are simple but comfortable and tasteful; meals are healthy, delicious and filling. The convent is situated on a number of acres on the shores of Eagles’ Nest Bay in South Duxbury; great walks and views abound. Downtown South Duxbury is within easy reach by foot. The sisters are warm, welcoming, and wonderful. Come experience for yourself the generous hospitality of one of The Episcopal Church’s best-kept secrets! You don’t need to be an Episcopalian to visit; all are welcome here!” -Kate, retreat guest April, 2018
“I spent time here in a simple retreat over one night. The facilities are immaculate, airy and modern. The simple furnishings have an exquisite beauty- couple that with a welcoming smile with a sister, and you feel immediately at home. They even have an indoor waterfall! The grounds have a variety of wildlife, beautiful trees and a splendid ocean overlook. I sat in their beachside gazebo while it rained, and the beauty was overwhelming. The beautiful prayers and sharing a simple meal with the sisters was the highlight of my retreat. I highly recommend taking a retreat here- this place is perfect for single or small group retreats.” -Tracey, retreat guest 2017
