On Saturday April 9th, 2016 the Sisters of St. Margaret held our Spring Associates Tea at the Mother House in Duxbury, MA. This is a time for Associates to connect with one another, hear what’s happening with the community and spend time with the Sisters.

We had a lovely turnout and Associates learned the latest information about the Chapel, the Prayer cards for the Chapel floor, and St. Margaret’s Day. We also invited our Social Media Manager, April Merrill from Coastal Mountain Creative to speak for a few moments about the success we’re having, and the path we’re taking, to increase awareness for the Sisters of St. Margaret and grow our audience online.

We did of course also have wonderful tea, finger sandwiches and some lovely treats. It was a time to share stories of the past and hopes for the future. Walking around the room you could hear amazing memories of the Convent and experiences with Sisters from days gone by. One of our Associates spoke of attending camp on the property 40 years prior. We all chuckled, reminiscing over memories of Bertram being the newest building on campus. It doesn’t seem possible that enough time has gone by that it’s now in critical need for restoration! The Associates Tea is an event that the Sisters all enjoy. We deeply value the commitment of our Associates and it pleases us to hear about their lives while in this intimate setting filled with support and love. The day was enjoyed by all and we sincerely look forward to the next one.
